Ok I have 2 cars and '86 GT and an 88 Formula and both ground straps that connect to the truck bolt are broken I have ordered new ones from Fierostore but i was wondering if someone could tell me where the other end will go when i ge the new ones or maybe even a pic would be great

Justin,
I have my Battery Ground cable on a bolt just under the ft of the head.

I also have one from the back of the block grounded to the trunk hinge.
What "bolt" did you have to order??
Just find a empty hole on the block add a bolt and a nice big ground wire and find the frame ( or other good grounding point.

I think he meant his ground starp was broke ..... I think he was talking about the braided one that goes from the block to the deck lid hinge....

There should be 2 braided ground straps. One goes from the firewall side head near the battery to the decklid hinge. The second one is usually bolted to a tran/engine bolt on the firewall side and it attached to the frame rail near the brake hardline mount on the driver side.
That's where they were originally on my 86 SE with a V-6/auto. Not sure if they are different on other years or models.
Sorry I just looked and I don't have any clear pics of them.

yeah i was talking about the one that goes from the block to the trunk hinge maybe if i look the other end is prolly on the block somewhere, right
