Personally, I've never seafoamed any car before. My Fiero ('87 GT) has 116k miles on it, and it probably has never been seafoamed either. I have read the LS1tech article though. I'm planning to put it in the fuel, oil, and directly into the engine, but I'd like to confirm/ask a couple of things.
The 2.8 has an oil capacity of 4 qts, according to the Haynes manual. Using 1.5 oz/qt of seafoam, this would amount to 6 oz of seafoam into the oil. Is this correct?
Also... which vacuum line is preferred for feeding seafoam directly into the Fiero's 2.8?
Any other tips for a newbie would be greatly appreciated...

Just an FYI. If you use an oil filter from a 2.5 you will get .5 quart more oil capacity. I've never used seafoam so I will be curious to see what others say about it.
just use a 1/3 of the can in the oil, you don't want to break the oil down. use a full can in the gas tank/full tank. Use the rest of the first can on the vacuum line. the line will will be right there on the upper plenum. grab some 1/4 in vacuum hose a plug it in there and suck a little out of the can. not too much a a time, you don't want to stall the engine. It's worked good for me.

OK in depth detail. geeze i would highly recomend NOT putting in the oil, if you dont know the past history of the engine, fo example if its all gummy and sluggy the seafoam will break it down and plug up the oil pick up tube which quickly will sieze the engine..just best to only use that if you KNOW the eng is fairly clean..and if it is clean then theres no use there anyway...just an all around not good idea!, ok heres the good news tho (directions) ok remember that putting the seafoam threw the intake WILL NOT clean the injectors OR the throttle body and sensors, it cleans (and does a damn good job) the intakes, ports in the heads, intake valves, piston tops and combustion chambers.. what you need to do it this, (for a through deep cleaning) now i know the seafoam is expensive 5 to 8$ a can depending where you get it, but get 2 cans and a can of throttle body cleaner, use the tb cleaner first, if using a straw hold it so it wont fly into the intake, have someone hole the throttl to the floor with the car not running and just give the tb hell!!, allways a smart idea to place a wrag under the tb ontop of the exaust to catch all the fluid that comes back out (dont wana soak the exaust in that crap), but clean both sides of the blade and make sure you get the sensors, use about 1/3 or half the can, if using half a can start and run the eng for a few seconds after 1/4 of it..will be very hard starting but it will fire.. now go to the seafoam, my favoorite place to suck it into is the vacume right next to the distributor, just disconect the vac line and get a 2 or 3 foot section of vac line (whatever slips over the nipple of the intake), run the eng and slowly lower the line into the fluid, if it starts to knock back the vac line off till it regains its self, just repeat this till you use 3/4 or even the entire can, it will go fast, now the trick is, right after you sucked all of it in DO NOT REV THE ENGINE shut it off imediatly!! wait 5 mins for it all to soak in..then start it up and give it hell!!!, letting it soak is 100% more effective than just blowing it all out right then...use the other entire can in the tank+ the 1/4 from the last can if any is left....i highly recomend this..ive torn down my eng 5000 miles after this and you can eat from the intake ports in the heads!
