I'm finally installing 1/4 windows on an '87 GT. After removing the windows, taking off the old glue with a 3-M disc eraser and prepping as much as possible, is there a cleaning solution that should be used to make sure the new tape will adhere properly? As always, thanks for any help offered.

You could use wax and grease remover or even rubbing compound to clean the areas where the tape will be sticking. Either will give you a clean surface to work with.

the guys at the fiero factory told me to use acetone and plenty of it, that it will clean off any old adhesives and junk, and it worked great for me
