can somebody post a link to a gen 2 headlight motor rebuild thread?

or can someone tell me.....can I remove the side cover and gear without having to remove the top knob section?

And yes the rebuild can be done without removing the top part, the motor itself. The passenger side motor is more difficult, because there is a lip on the gear that will catch on the motor gear, but you can just pull it past.

Did you get the rebuild kit from Rodney? He includes very nice step-by-step directions with his.

Just ordered new gear from Rodney Dickman I hope there's direction's with them so I'll know how to do them. Should recieve them today. I'll post the direction's if no one else does before me.
