I'm working on the metal fuel lines from the tank that terminate on the driver's side by the strut tower.

My car was is a 85 coupe with the 2.5L so the lines are on the opposite side as the 2.8L.

Just need some ideas as to what you've done and or used for the hookup.

Any reccomendations for an inline fuel filter that is rated for the fuel injection hose with 3/8" fittings?

Thanks,

Steve

I have an 85 Fiero as well. I converted mine over to the V-6 style fuel lines. As for the fuel rails, this thread might help -

I showed, how to modify the fuel rails, to clean up the engine bay a bit. Look half way down on page one.

Thanks for the link 3.8SC, it was interesting.

I need what folks have done from the fuel rail to the Fiero lines from the tank.

I will be doing a build thread on some home made rails here coming within the next week or two. I bought some fuel rail aluminum stalk. I have a full size intercooler so the stock rails would not work and I dont like the way they look going over the charger. it is alot cheaper to make then the zzp ones all you have to do is by the rail and using a drill press and the old rail as a template drill the injector holes and make some brackets to hold them down. then pipe tap the ends and use fuel injector hose or braided then I am running a external regulator with barbed fittings, and run that to the tank no big deal really.

I went to NAPA and had them make a set of new lines with the Fiero GT fittings. Then hooked everything like the V-6 engine.
Here is another thread of ohio86se and his setup using the stock fuel rail with modified ends only - https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/071510.html
Middle of page three. It gaves the part numbers as well.

I put a 3300 in my 86, same dimensions as the 3800, here's what I did. I used the fuel pump from the Buick century, mounted it in the fiero, (had to bend the 3 tubes 90 deg.) Used the fuel line and filter, cut the plastic likes just past the filter and used couplers they sell at napa. Just cut to the size that will follow the body till you have enough to go to the fuel rail. Did I mention to use all the parts off the donor car.

Well after reading the replies and doing some digging at the parts store I think I figured out what I'll do.

I found some brass barbed hose fittings.

I'll use a short piece of the stock lines from the fuel rail that have the Saginaw o-rings and silver solder the brass fitting onto the ends.

I'll do the same thing to the end of the lines from the tank.

I'll run some fuel injection hose between the barbs, 3/8" for the fuel line and 5/16" for the return line.

Then I just need to find a fuel filter with a 3/8" in and out and just splice it itno the fuel line.

Shouldn't cost me more the $50.00 when done.

Any thoughts?
