I need your help, everybody! I found some super nifty wheels (rims) on ebay, but I don't know if they can be made to fit on my Fiero. The Fiero is a 1985 Fiero GT with the four speed tranny and 2.8 Liter V6. I pulled off the wheels yesterday and measured them and the hubs on the car. The Factory wheels appear to be 14 X 6, with approximately a 4 and 3/4 inch backset. The bolt circle seems to be 4 inches in diameter, with 5 lugs. The wheels I want to switch to are 15 X 7, with 4 and 1/4 inch backset. ( so far, so good, eh?) They also have five lugs (even better) Now the bad part - the bolt circle is four and 1/2 inches in diameter (standard ford and MOPAR). So my question is this: has anybody found a way to mount the ford/mopar rims I have described on the 85 Fiero ( in a safe way ) without having the wheels stick out of the wells too far, and without rubbing on the inner suspension components? And without spending thousands of dollars on custom made parts? Any help you can provide will be appreciated! I am very new to the Fiero, ( I have only had it for a week!) but I love it already !! Thanks for your input! Dave B. Wisconsin, USA
I don't think anyone here has actually done this, unless you want to get some adapters which are going to move the wheel outboard there really isn't any other way unless you want to try and put a different hub on there altogether from a ford car, which seems like too much trouble just for some wheels.

General consensus on this forum is to stay away from spacers. The other part of the gen. conensus is that it's cheaper to buy other rims, than "good" spacers, as they run hundreds of dollars.
that said, if you still pursue this, let us know what you come up with. I have a set of Mazda rims, I would love to have on the Fiero.
