Thinking about ordering some 17x7.5" rims.

They are 35mm offset. I am planning on running 215/45/17's up front and 235/45/17's on the back. I currently have the car lowered about 1.5" all around. This is on a 87GT with stock cut springs all around. I want to make sure it will look good and not bulge out too much on the front or back and definitely clear the front control arms on turns so forth. Anyone else running this setup, please advise. Thanks!

I run the same size on #011 chopper. Borbet's 17 x 7.5, 35mm off-set on 87 w/ coil-overs on all corners. Although I've used the 215/45/17 up front I now sport 225's. The front's stick-out just a little however, the rears don't stick out but are nicely lined-up with upper fender.

The same tire/rims used on a 88. Notice that the fronts stick-out more on the 88's. The IRM rocker confuses the actually size of the tire/rim/body ratio but you get the general idea. This size okay if you don't plan on going wide body, but IMO are too small for the rears. A 38-40mm rears using a 8" would look better. These rims are 12 yrs old. Darn it, so are the rear tires. I need to change them. Thanks for reminding me. I'm uping to 245's.
