Question:

I'm installing new spark plug wires into a '87 2.5 and have no idea what terminals on the dis system go where. The car was towed here with a disassembled engine and I can't find the placement of each of the terminals on the engine, but I do have the firing order. I do have a Haynes manual and it does not show the placement of the wires for the DIS system but does show for the distributor.

Anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Are you talking about the coil packs? One set fires two plugs and the other fires two plugs. Say the ORGE has a great write up on this. Any way I dont remember off hand but when I replaced mine it didnt matter which wire was on top or bottom, just get them on the correct coil pack. My manuals are out in the garage. I would try Orges Cave. If you cant find it let me know and I'll go out and dig them up.

As long as plugs 2 & 3 are on the top coil, and 1 & 4 on the bottom coil, you'll be fine. Each coil fires both its plugs simultaneously (called "waste spark"), so it doesn't matter if a particular plug wire is connected to the top or bottom post on the coil.

Good point. My coils are marked with big yellow numbers so I just wrote what I saw.

Thanks, guys! I love you all !

I hadn't even thought about Oger's Cave and now I feel stupid. I did go into the archives but couldn't locate anything.

I really appreciate the assistance.
