i'm getting ready to swap a 4.9 into my '84 SE and remember seeing somewhere that the wiring on this year is more difficult than the others, could someone please sum up the differences for me?

pinouts are a bit different when it comes to the C500 and C203 plugs. The C500 is located near the firewall center (vs near the battery). The C203 only has 1 ignition wire for the fuel injectors - you need 2 (one for each bank), so you just run an extra wire from the fuse box - I seem to recall the fuse box has an open spot for an additional INJ fuse (don't forget to connect the backside up).

No biggie...just beware of the different pinouts (get 84 diagrams), wiring is NOT more difficult, just different.

thanks for the help, some of the other posts i read made it sound like it added a huge headache to the swap. you just boosted my confidence quite a bit
