Hi.....I lost the oomph!! from my car when I try to accelerate. It's a 86 SE 2.8L V6, automatic. Before, when I aggressively depress the accelerator it seem like the tranny down-shifts and the car shoots out then shifts up. Now, when I stomp on the gas pedal, the car just mosey on along just like you normally accelerates. No down shift and no whiplash causing acceleration. What gives heres???? What needs to be done to get the "kick" back on this ride. Thanks for the help....

The TV cable might need to be adjusted or you may have some failure of the transmission.
Never tried the adjustment procedure before, they say you have to be carefull.
You haven't worked on the throttle body have you?

Mr. Dodgerunner....I know that I'm due for fluid replacement on the tranny. The tranny seem to work fine, just added 2 pints this weekend. And, I have not done any adjustment to the "throttle body". Thanks for the reply...
