Hey guys!

Well I did somethin dumb a couple weeks ago. I thought I could solve my fuel rail problems by purchasing thet ZZP Fuel rail (the one ment for intercoolers only).

The problem is that I didn't realize that it was only for intercooled supercharges and now of course, I go to install it on the engine and the fuel line crosses right smack dead in the middle where the throttle body was supposed to go!

Has anyone modded these rails to work? ie. cut and use hose or bend or braize..

I can get pics if you want to see my exact problem but I am sure someone has done something with these before.

It is a 85 GT with a 97GTP Motor.

Thank you for looking!

Matthew

Can't you order a longer line from Summit Racing, so you can run the line under the throttle body?

I have never seen that fuel rail.
I thought you had the billet one with steel braided lines going from side to side.

You might have to get the fuel line connectors pictured in this thread.

I can't argue with that.

you could get one of those little hand held pipe benders and attempt to bend it down under (have to deal with egr though) or up over (which could get in the way of the wireing harness).. Or maybe, they might take them back in trade for the new style ones that they say will work with non-intercooled applications.

If you still have the old rails use them for now then later on when you get power hungry get an aftercooler. Dan

Those look like wbody store modded rails.

I wouldnt try bending them, send them back or get an intercooler. Why get rails without an intercooler?
