Those of you running a single stage cooling fan with your swaps, which computer terminal do you have the relay wire hooked to? Right now I have mine hooked up A8, which is relay #1, but I want to switch it over to B11, in hopes that it won't come on so soon. I think this is one of the reasons I'm getting bad milage, never gets warm enough. And if I switch it to B11, it should give me a higher temp before the fan comes on, or at least that's what I'm thinking in my head.

Let me know.

Don't mind me, I'm just testing a minor mod to my sig.

But I am still looking for the answer.

I always use relay #1.

Your fan should never come on if it is cold, the ECM is set so that it only comes on when the temp is above 200 (I don't remember the exact temp right now). This is more than warm enough for your car.

Now if your fan is coming on before then, you have a problem.

If it nevers warms up, then you still have a problem - check your thermostat.

My fan is coming on, and not right away either, it takes a while. I was just guaging by the Fiero temp guage, which is dumb, because they are never acurate. I really need to hook up my serial data line, and get a scanner on it and see what it wants to tell me.

Thanks for the redirect Brian, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Even if your fan comes on kinda early, you thermostat should keep the engine temp at 192.

I was looking at the current Harbor freight ad sheet today, and they have a cheap little non contact thermometer for about $10. Might not be a bad tool to have.
