I am thinking of putting my 84 4cyl in the Pure-Mini dirt track class next year. The rules are simple, " An american made, 4cyl, RWD car". Since the Fiero is the ONLY mid-engine american made 4cyl RWD car made, they can't refuse me. Most of them run 2.3 fords or 2.5 S-10 motors (which I would be running). I think the fiero will definitely bite into the turns better than the others so I might have a better chance of winning. I have two questions, first, what do y'all think? Secondly, does anyone have a 4-5 speed tranny, master cylinder and slave to trade for alot of body and facsia parts?

How long does the race last? The thing that i would worry about is the fiero's rpm's and how stock the power is about 4,500 and hits a wall after that. With racing on dirt there will be alot of tire spin and i'm just wondering about the out of control rev's. It is one of the best choices that you could use, low center of gravity, and all the weight over the rear wheel. Anyways good luck with the race and post the results when your finished maybe even a couple pictures if possible.

I have one on my car in colorado I am selling... its a duke 5 spd all modded out brakewise and big bore throttle body/intake manifold from holley... just needs clutch... it would have been perfect for ya, but i do have a 5 spd sitting here... and a duke harness and ecm... also an engine you can have... just come get it and drop off body panels... lol

1B: Body panels must be replaced with steel or aluminum.

That sucks, and it'll cost you a little time and money, too, since they want it to still look stock.

You might want to check into Volunteer Speedway which is along I-81 in Greene County - Bulls Gap exit.

They have several divisions. Check their website.
