Victory! It worked perfectly! Now I need to address the other source of my bog and hesitation……I’m thinking timing chain, but that’s for another thread.

Ok, so I feel the need to bring this to conclusion. My modded bin works great! I am running the 19lb injectors with a lower base pulse and my A/F ratio is right where it should be. After I got the car running again I discovered that I had a bad timing chain, old cars break, that’s life. After I had my mechanical problems sorted out I put the car though it’s paces. It behaves like I whole new car now! I love it! My lightly modded (exhaust manifolds/Y-pipe ported and gasket matched intake) is actually pretty quick! Downside? Yes, a small one, all my newly recovered torque killed the forward rubber trans mount, but I’ll call that a good problem.

Don

Warning to anybody looking to try their hand at this!

DO NOT BUY THE CHEAP WILLEM EPROM WRITERS FOUND ON EBAY! THEY ARE JUNK AND WILL NOT WRITE TO THE 27C32 EPROMS!

I figured I would give the GMEPRO utility from Rockcrawl’s site a try.

This little program is a gem! When I loaded my modified BIN it told me right away that the check sum was wrong and it corrected it for me! It also allowed me to verify my 23.21% reduction in the base injector table with a single numerical value (I compared the stock and moded BIN)!

I’m going to reburn it tonight and see what happens, but I’m felling fairly confident!
Wish me luck!

Thank you!

I did so many I'd have to look. When I was running my Fiero on 7730's and 7749's in the 90's it seems I did so I could do the calibrations. Isn't the V6 7730 available from one of the big companies now?

I'll check. I know I did the V8 but it's been years. I might have used a V8 cal map and just changed it.

I'll look, no promises.
