I figured out what it is. Jobe figured out that a resistor needed to be added for caberated vehicles since I last looked at that schematic. Leave R4 out and you have it.

Guess us 87 Duke owners are out in the cold when it comes to ALDL software.

Is it because there isn't enough demand to write the code, or is it a difficult beast to adapt it to?

I really would like to have it run on mine, It is a super program, I envy you 6 Cyl guys.

Update #2: FTDI's technical support has confirmed that "The minimum baud rate with the FT232R is 183 baud - there is no way to obtain lower baud rates."

Ah, well. Back to the drawing board!

Ok, I have a question. I have an 87 that I am putting a 327 with TPI in. Is there any logging/data aquisition/tuning programs I can use for this application? Anyone ever thought/ did this type of swap? The ECM is off of an 85 vette with TPI, as is the TPI intake. Let me know, and thanks in advance.

Given that it is from an '85 'vette, the ECM may possibly be one that WinALDL will support. You need to check your specific ECM model number against the list of supported ECMs posted on the WinALDL web site.

If WinALDL won't work, there are other PC-based software scan tools available at a reasonable price.

Jazzman's original thread for building an ALDL cable no longer has the pictures. (Would be really nice if he did it again since his Mark II cable looked slick) So for the electronically challenged, this has pictures:

http://couleefiero.tripod.com/ALDL.htm (Someone post if the site has bad info.)

The above coupled with Dodgerunner's treatment would work just fine for a DIY'er

Here are the pics for the Mark II board:

http://www.fierocentral.com/images/misc/aldlmark2/

And the link: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Archives/Archive-0000...

The Mark 1 pictures will be available in a few days, hopefully, and at that point I'll redo a new thread.
