Just looking for a little info. I was wondering what the diameter of hose at the scoop side, from the quarter panel scoop to the water separator, and what the diamter of the inlet to the filter box is. Looking at doing a fairly cheap, quality ram air tube for it, to replace the water separator.

Thanks.

Guess not. What's the easiest/quickest way to pull the quarter panel off so I can take the measurements myself, then?

I have a parts car out near the shop, I`m not sure if the box is on it?, I can check for you later this evening, not sure on the first measurement you want. If you need to take off your 1/4 panel, it involves drilling out 2 aluminum rivits at the top side of the 1/4 panel, in the jam area. I`d hold tight and see if we can get an answer for you--before you pull your car apart.. More then likely you`ll break the trim moulding clips and need new ones. The rest of it just involves taking loose or removing the rear wheel well inserts.

Well, the 1/4 panel will have to come off anyway, to pull the water separater out and, and install the straight tube.

The first measurement I want, is the diameter of the outlet for the tiny little black plastic "scoop" that's attached to the rear side of the 1/4 panel for the air intake.

Thanks.

No need to remove the 1/4 panel. Take the wheel off and unbolt the wheelwell liner. Everything is accessible then.

You'r welcome.

One note of caution, the ring attached to the elbow under my intake can was offset, only held on by one spotweld, restricting the intake path andletting dust from the engine compartment cause the filter to get dirty quickly, also the rear glass had been broken on my car at one time, and there was glass between the mounting bracket and the filter can, also allowing more dirty air into the filter, and occationally the glass to be sucked up into the filter, so these should be looked to get the system operating efficiently.
