Hey guys I have an extra MSD 6 AL and was wanting to put ion my duke for a while until I do my swap to 3800. Does anybody know how to hook it up? All help would be appreciated.

I don't know as to compatibility with the Duke, however, IMHO, it ain't worth the effort.

The high output coil is helpful, but at the rpm you have in the Duke, you just don't need the output. In addition, I know from experience that the 6 AL has a failure rate. They are almost impossible to diagnose if they misbehave. Seriously, I'd put on a high output coil, like the MSD unit, and some good wires and plugs.

Just my .02

As for the compatibility, check with MSD, they will know for sure and exactly how to hook it up.

The link is here,,, http://www.msdignition.com

I have to agree with Arns85GT on installing a high output coil, wires and plugs if you can't get it hooked up and still want maximum Duke performance, but then again, get yourself motivated for the 3800 performance swap.

Well I'm not going for all out performance on the duke just figured that the MSD would wake it up a little bit. And the MSD should be compatible. It's supposed to work on any 4 6 8 cylinder car.

AS for the swap it will be ready next spring. JUst not in a real hurry to get it done becuase I want to do it right.

Its the same as the V6. Just buy the coil adapter and be done with it.
