My dash and gauge lights won't work neither do my rear park lights and front yellow fog lights. Can anybody help with any symptoms. I thought it was a fuse but all are good. What do the silverish big blocky "fuses" control? Brake lights and head lights still work. Radio and lighter works too.

Check the bulbs in the rear tail lamps , if a dual filement bulb breaks one of the filements , it can lay on the other filement and cause a short to ground, make sure singles are in singles, doubles in doubles, clean & re goop them to make sure the contact is good, the big silver suckers are circut breakers--these are used more for high juice eaters like power windows and so on..

goatnipples2002, i see you have your rating bar. boy, you must have really annoyed some people.

you didn't say what year you have. but if you have an 84-86 then i'm going with the headlight switch.

oh and the silver circuit breakers, one is for power windows, and one is for power locks.

You know I was just thinking about the headlight switch myself. I just noticed the rating bar right when you said that...guess I gotta get that second screen name started...

Is there any way to test the headlight switch?

whatevery you're doing, you need to stop.
your rating bar is growing more red than my dog having his way with a teddy bear.

try a new / different light switch if you can.

Do the headlights go down when you turn them off? if so then the fuse and power feed system for them and the tail/dash lights is fine and it pretty much has to be the switch, or wiring.

Had a similar issue with my 88. Turned out to be the dimmer switch.

that shouldn't keep his parking lights from working.

I thought i posted yesterday but i didn't. Anyway I bought a new light switch and nothing. I have an 86 gt. I will try the dimmer, but the dome lights come on when I push it all the way up. I will replace it though.

just try unplugging it.
you wont have dash lights, but it would take it out of the circuit from the parking lights.

Did you try the dimmer lights rheostat resistor fix? Fixed my dash light problems. Not sure if it is related to the other lights mentioned.
