Hello all,
I have an 88 5 speed fiero. Today it started making noise but only when I engage the clutch no other time. I think it is obvious that it is the throwout bearing. What do you all think? Also does a fiero have a pilot bearing also? Last what do yall think is the best clutch I have always had good results with Napa clutches has anyone ever tried the fiero stores heavy duty clutch? If so what did yall think of them.
Thanks for the advice in advance.

The throwout bearing would make noise when the clutch is disengaged, since that is when it is working, a noise with it engaged would be a bearing in the tranny, probably input bearing. Checked your oil lately?

Yea sounds like the Throw out bearing to me too. I've had success with Borg and Beck Clutches from NAPA (That's what Chris West recommended me when I called him 2 years ago, same clutch is still pulling strong)

Thanks guys for the info I appreciate it. I am almost for sure it is the throwout bearing the way it is acting I have had this problem before but not with a fiero. There is no pilot bearing glad to hear that. Thanks for the info on the Napa clutches. I am looking at ordering the Ram heavy duty clutch from the fiero store. Along with the throw out bearing sleeve and seal. has anyone had to replace the thowout bearing sleeve and seal when they replaced the clutch?
Thanks again guys for the info I appreciate it.
