Went to put manifold gaskets on my truck and i noticed a bolt is broken off recessed about 1/8 inch into the threads. Whats my optinos on fixing this problem? Thanks Dustin

If you try to use and easy-out of any type and it breaks you'll be in even more trouble. Safest thing to do (not the most fun) is to pull the head and take it to a machine shop. It will be a bit of work on your part, but should not cost much to have them fit it.

I just had a very similar problem. I had one broken exhaust manifold bolt in each cylinder head. I also had a stud in one of my exhaust manifolds because I had to cut the bolt. Anyway, I took all 3 parts (2 heads, 1 manifold) to a local machine shop, and they fixed all 3 parts in one morning for $28. It is certainly a hassle to pull the heads, but I think it's your best choice. Trying to do it yourself with the head still in the car/truck is just going to be a nightmare.
