My son knocked the trunk seal loose on one side of the car this weekend ( GT ) getting his backpack out of it, and it doesnt want to go back into place and stay.

Was there some sort of glue that held the seal on to the trunk, or did mine just wear out and he finished it off? It doesnt appear damaged, and i stick it back on the same way it appears it came off, but no dice..

I used some trim adhesive I picked up at the auto supply store. GM makes a good one.

Hope this helps.

I was thinking about a dab of RTV, but if it was supposed to stick on its own with out glue, it might have just made a mess of things.

tks

I used the yellow 3M trim adhesive when I put mine back on, holding so far.
