the local auto parts store here sells a jug of oil stain removal. It smells and feels like automotive hand cleaner (Orange go), you spread it on the oil stain and let it sit for a day, sweep it up later and the oil has been pulled out of the concrete.

http://www.pour-n-restore.com/oilstain.htm is what is it called. works great, although expensive if you have lots of oil stains.

I've always had the best luck with pouring Dawn straight out of the bottle ( dont tell mom that you used it all ) and spreading it in then let it sit for a day or 2 before hitting it with the hose or pressure washer. When you go through 2 K5 Blazers, a 99 cougar, and a 68 Mustang theres gonna be TONS of stains

Your local Home Depot should have some concrete/garage floor cleaner that works. I used Behr brand garage floor cleaner before I painted my parents floor and it worked great on the oil that's been there for years. It comes in a grey quart as well as gallon container.

Well I guess I could just use the trysoudum stuff that eches the garage floor before paint huh...

It looks very funny, the stain.
I guess I didn't tighten the filter tight enough. so a puddle and two lines. one going out to the street, saying what the f.. and pulling back in to fix the problem. so embarassed

Too bad the stain doesn’t look like a religious icon. You could make big bucks!

Mineral sprits (paint thinner).

Spray it on the oil spot and wipe it up. The MS will evaporate
and the spot will be gone.

I use liduid Tide full strength. Pour it on the stain let it sit a day or two or three and it rinses right off with the hose. Sometimes it will rain before I get around to hosing it off and when the ground dries it is clean as new.

I had a 72 GMC Jimmy that leaked every fluid except battery fluid. It took thousands of dollars and years to fix all of the leaks. One day I parked in my slopped drive and it slid backwards on it's own.

did you get the leak fixed?

i had the same thing happen to me years ago when the old oil filter rubber gasket stuck to the block. two rubber gaskets=oil everywhere.

i've had good luck with simple green and a pressure washer. i just changed the oil in two of our cars so the wife has something to complain about again.

33% Muratic acid & water will take if out, do a whole section of the driveway --or the whole driveway for uniformity--we used to etch concrete pool bottoms with full strength--that can be bought allmost anywhere...
