I have an 84 that was a 2.5L iron duke...I was just wondering how I can find out which tranny I have? is there a link to VIN decoding for the fiero?

you have to use the RPO code sheet on the drivers front inside fender under the hood.

there will be a bunch of 3 digit codes.
MY8 is the 3.32 tranny
M19 is the 4.10

out of curiosity was there a trim model the 4:10 was offered in? like a SE? or was it just pretty much a random distribution? also is there a chart of there gear ratios for the different 4 speeds somewhere?
