Look up the filter for a 2001 4.3 Chevy S10.
The filter is the size of a beer can and fits perfectly. The top line Purolator also seems to be larger than the other brands.

Don is right, stick to the filter make for your Fiero - the AC PF 52. Forget all those others, theyare more expensive and do nothing more. Ed

I simply asked for the S10 2.8 oil filter at the parts counter. It is double the size of stock and costs a little less.

The one I use is Purolator L24011. It's double the size of the stock V6 filter, and has a check valve.

i like the k&n...believe its part no# hp2001...i like the nut on the end..makes it so much easier to take off that way instead of messing around the with the typical strap type wrench. also, i had an oil sample done on my rebuilt 87 v6 a few weeks ago and it showed excellent readings so i know the k&n is doing its job. i HIGHLY recommend everyone to do an oil sample...it costs 20 bucks and they send you a detailed document on all the readings...bearing metal in oil..antifreeze..etc. its a company called blackstone. www.blackstone-labs.com check it out...i have done one on every one of my toys.

There are so few actual oil filter manufacturer's anymore. All Motorcraft oil filters are made by Purolator and there are a few others like that. Though as a side note, for those who like K&N filters, buy the Mobil1 filters instead, they are exactly the same and even use the same part numbering scheme (HP-2001 = M1-201), but in my experience, the Mobil1 filters are up to $3 to $4 cheaper at places like Advance Auto Parts.

That's the one I use.
I just couldn't remember the part number and didn't have one handy to look at.
