I've been researching body kits for my project car lately. Along the way I've been looking for interior kits as well.

From what I've seen and read so far I'm going with either a Ferarri kit or one of the widebody kits.

I've read through a couple/100 build threads on different interior options and wondering what people have to say about their experiences.

Right now I'm kinda leaning toward the ZR2 interior from PISA. I also like the idea of making one up myself, but I wonder if I have any patience left to do it.

I love my Firebird interior. I get so spoiled that I think that all Fieros are like that. When I see the stock interior at a show I'm looking at it like it's from some other car.

I can tell you the following from my experience:

- Be Very careful with the ventilation in the new dash, especially where the new dash mates up to the fiero heater box. If this isn't designed correctly, you'll have a problem with air flow from the dash vents and then you'll have a big PIA trying to correct the problem by trial-and-error with the dash installed in the car.

- STRONGLY consider buying the stuff already upholstered unless you have a good upholsterer already lined up. When I tried to get my Euro-dash upholstered, some of the local shops here would not even touch it or or wanted $900 just to upholster the dash.

- Be Careful with the little pieces that come wiht the dash, like the headlight mounting plates, etc. If you lose or break these, they are very expensive to get replaced from PISA ( the small plastic piece that mounts the light switch to the dash might cost you $30).

- My experience with Marty / PISA has been good. Marty has always been reachable by telelphone and/or e-mail and has always replied when I had questions.

I just took a look at the ZR-2 interior at the PISA website - Looks Good

For dashes door panels and center consoles PISA, Marty is a great guy also try V8 Archie, I haven't used his stuff but he has a great reputation.
Seat covers, visors and console wraps - To me there is only one choice Mr. Mikes hands down the best and another straight up guy.
Carpets ACC Carpets there is a link on Mr. Mikes page they deliver quick and it fits and wears well.
Regards and good luck, Bill

This is the advantage of the Firebird dash. It's already upholstered...you just fabricate the mounts and bolt it in. See sig for pics.

You can go with just about any stock dash from another car, Firebird/Camaro, Grand Am, GT3000/Stealt, etc. Or you can go with a Ferrari replica interior. The person to see for that would be Rob Amida. Everyone says it's hand down the best 355 replica interior. Rob's a member here and at Ari's.
