My son found this one. A white 1984 2M4. It has a sunroof and bag for the glass! 4 speed and air. It has the beigh interior. I liked the rims so I offered the guy $200.00 and he accepted. The Duke is sick. I started the car to load it and smoke (from oil) just poured out the center vent. The other top covers are solid. My other 84's have vented covers. Hmm. It was dark last night so no time to investigate.
THE GUY DID TELL ME SHE BURNED A LOT OF OIL. The guy also showed me where he duck taped off the hole on the valve cover under the air cleaner to prevent the blow by from entering the carburator.

My question is. Would this be a ring job or valves? I have a 2.5L head that I can swap out if it is valves. That is why I am asking the group.I have his notes showing compression valueson the cylinders. #1=150, #2= 125, #3= 125, #4= 115. The car starts and idles great.
Thanks.

Nosing around in the archives I'm leading towards rings or a different engine swap. Maybe I'll get brave and do something other than an Iron Duke. This makes #5 if anyone is counting.

You mean the fuel injection throttle body? No Fieros came with carbs... anyyay if you like rebuilding engines, and you want a 4 cylinder car, I say go for the rebuild. It could be just about anything and the engine probably needs a complete rebuild.
