In my '88 GT there is a scrubbing or scraping noise coming from the rear of the car when you come to a stop. Its only when you're rolling and as you slow down the scrubbing seems to get slower. That's only below like 15 mph. It also seems to get worse as the car is driven and it gets warmed up. I thought it was coming from the rear right side, but I had a passenger in the car with his head out the window and it seemed to be coming from the left. Any idea on what it is? My first thought was the caliper was dragging on the brakes but there are no marks in the rotors. 2nd was possibly wheel bearings, or maybe something in the axle. Anyone know what it is? Its a '88 GT automatic with 42,000 miles on it.

Do your pads have the anti rattle springs on them? Mine was doing the same thing on left rear and I found out the spring was missing

May also want to check the brake dust covers.
