I have looked also and so far have found no sources for Euro tailights for the Fiero. Pisa HQ makes a fiberglass cover that uses lenses and it looks pretty good but when I e-mailed tham about it the guy said that JC Whitney was the one he was getting the taillight housings from but that they had stopped carrying them. Now I am speaking of the taillights for a notchie. if you have a fastback then I`m not really sure what is available.

I looked into other style lights some years ago when starting the bodymods. Wanted something different than a 355 rear, ended up with altezza's for a Honda Prelude (altezza's were rare and not considered rice at that time, yeah I was wrong )
Made a custom piece for the rearclip to make them fit, it was a lot of work. I ordered a different set while the fiero was at the painter because I started to dislike the "rice" stance they had...
The old set had the chrome look and the new ones have a carbonfiber print that blends well with the paint

If I would do it now I would use the stock GT outer lenses and mod the heck out of the inner lenses....much easier approach . There should be some examples from people here on the forum.

edit: Ow forget it, just saw you have a notchie...

If ya really want to go custom you could mod the rear to use fastback tailights and then use some of the fastback custom tailights mods these guys are using. I am too just a kid with a cool car .

Well. Depends on taste, but, I dissassembled the tailight, removed the redlins and diffusers and all that stuff. I cleaned and shined the reflectors as much as possible, install led "bulbs" in place of the stock ones. I think they look pretty tripindicular but you may not!

PLEASE.... spell check your message before hitting the submit button, please.

As for taillights, there are not that many out there. I would recommend you spend time on other parts and updates of the car and keep an eye out for something to come along. To be honest, most notchie lights are too ricey. There is a nice kit that Paul V. sells and creates the words "PONTIAC" like the fastbacks (the letters are backlite also!). Of course you could do the same thing with any words or graphics.

What is wrong with having a nice stock looking Fiero? You will get more respect than a riced out one

I think the proper term is Euro not ricey although you do see them on a lot of Hondas etc. but they are also on a lot of American made new cars also.

Euro? Maybe, but until I see BMWs and Mercedes running with these tail lights as factory... I tend to think of them as ricey. What really makes them Euro or Ricey is the placement of these things on a car that is over 20 years old. There is a clash of styles in my opinion. Like putting a spoiler on a ford fairmont.... it just doesn't look right. Now there are always execptions... and I am generalizing here when it comes to tail lights and such. If you do a full customization of the Fiero, that is different.. but just adding taillights or stick on hood scoops.... it is a clash of cultures

Back to the subject, you are pretty limited with the size of the notchie opening. Your lights will have to be long and narrow. Then there is the issue of the angle of the back end. The fastback lends itself to modified taillights a little better. I like when people keep the outer case and change the bulbs/reflectors inside. So you have a modified stock look.

You have a point but then aren`t we all saying that the Fiero was ahead of it`s time in style?
I guess it all comes down to the look the owner wants. I agree with you that sometimes I think something doesn`t look all that great to me on a car but other people might like it.

Mickey_Moose : Thought you were going to market some of your mask? I thought it was one of the better looking ones. I wouldn't mind having the mask insert if the price was right.

Yea, sorry man...I have had zero time to spend on these (lifes little things are keeping me away from working on them - they are a low piority right now). I was hoping LZeitgeist would have tried out the set I made up and get back to me if any modification is needed to them - if they are fine, I can just have them made up. The time is all spent in preparing the lens and mounting the mask - and if not right editing the file in the spots that it needs it and retry it again. Maybe towards the winter I can get back to these. I still have yet to redo mine to remove the Pontiac.

Not that hard to do yourself if you can't wait - the biggest issue is time needed to make it right.
