I would like to know what is the oil capacity of the SBC with standard oil filter?

Welcome to the forum, I have a chevy pick up with a 350SBC that holds 5 quarts with the standard filter..

thanks, is that "us quarts" or "quarts"? I live in Canada so I used liters and want to do the conversion. I found the following conversion charts :

quarts X 1.136 = litres
US quarts X 0.9463 = liters

Sebastien, Math & conversions is not one of my strong points----I`m thinking U.S. quarts . One quart would equal 32 ounces, does that help some...

It would be US quarts. One U.S. quart is just slightly less than 1 litre. (e.g. a 2 litre soda bottle holds 2.1 quarts)
