Well, I finally got the motor in and was ready to fire it up and bring it home today, but NO SPARK! Heres the details. 85Gt 2.8. We have power to both plugs that go to or come from the top of the coil. Its a brand new coil. I took the ignition module in the bottom of the distributor down and had it tested. Completely shot. I bought a new one and figured it would fire right up. Still NO SPARK! A little more detail about the story of the car. I bought it with no motor in it. Everything had been removed. It came with a ARI 3.1 stroker motor short block. I had to assemble the heads and intakes back on it and drop it....raise it in the car. It all appears to have gone back just fine. I have another 85 just like it to use as a template. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, there was only one bolt holding the ignition module down. I therefore could only put it back with one. Dont know if that could be it.

I read the other "no spark" articles. Could someone tell me what a pick up coil is, where, looks and also, the little cylinder thingy with wires coming out of both ends right between the coil and the engine....what is it?

Thanks
Bob
