Well, I was thinking of double-sided sticky tape, but I'm not certain if it will hold up with heat, vibration, etc. I was thinking of mounting it on the center console tray where it's flush (well almost) on the firewall. I might have to screw it on, It's only a tray which can be replaced. Or I could just get the cupholder that is an add-on, the link on the first post. All I know is I have a hard time trying to drive while a BK drink is in my hand or in between my legs.
You can also get the folding cup holders at most large stores that have an RV accessories section. I get my RV stuff here, it's 1/2 hour away but does mostly internet sales. Walmart may have them.
Thanks 87GT_97114, $9 dollars each for the fold-up cup holders and they look exactly the same but is black (not grey), which is what I was aiming for. I'll post back with pics when I have them mounted..

I used to own a 1985 Fiero GT 4-Speed. When I bought the car... it had a set of two custom cup holders. Since the 85 GT did not have the auxilary gauges, the previous owner had installed the cup holders there. These cup holders used gravity to position the top of the glass opposite of the torque. It's like the cup was on gyros. It was really weird because the indentation for the cup was no more than 1/2 an inch deep!
But I could literally take a TALL glass of water, put it in the cup holder, and then drop the clutch at 6,000 rpms and I wouldn't spill a drop. It was amazing. Basically, the cup holder area was suspended in a base. The bottom of the cup holder base was weighed. When I would accelerate, the weighted bottom of the cup holder platform, since it was suspended in the base, would go opposite of the momentum. So basically, the cup was always at the correct angle to fully support the liquid that was in it. It was the weirdest thing. They weren't stock, so I took them off. I have no idea where they are now, but they were awesome.

I just use the built-in cup holders, the space between the gauge pod and the dash on either side. Burger King's medium cups barely fit without falling through, but Taco Bell and 7/11's larger cups fit GREAT
I don't mean to hijack the thread, Hey, Brian do you have a picture taken from the passenger side? Whats Ms Lori want for them? My center console is cracked up from using my elbow to drag my Extra Grande Butt into my seat, Ms Lori's might be just what I'm looking for.
