I put Rodney Dickman's V-6 belt squeal eliminator on my 86 GT today. It's basically an idler pully on a custom-made 2-legged bracket. I got it put on, and it started raining (big surprise here, lately). Took it out for a drive, hit as many puddles as I could. I even left the splash guard off and blasted everything with the hose, too.

So far, not a squeal, and the voltage hangs nice and steady on the voltmeter.

Once again, another great part from Rodney, and the guy who gave him the idea.

A reminder to make sure you have a spare belt even with Rodney's product. I've been told the belt used with that isn't always available at parts stotres. (People should have an extra belt around anyway...)

I just kept my original belt in case of any problems. It'll get you out of a bind anyways

I've been using this for a few months now and it is an awesome item. Hats off to Rodney for yet another great item (and great service!)

I've got one on my car and it works great. It's too early to tell for sure, since any new belt will work for a little while, but I'm eager to see how long it lasts.

Also, the nice thing about this idler pully is you can still use the OEM belt if needed and it won't be in the way. So, if you can't find the right size belt, just an OEM one to get you by.
