Hey all!

I purchaced a 3.8 L67 not too long ago, and looked up a number on the block which told me the motor was from 95!
Which is odd because it was "supposed" to be out of a 98GTP.

Problem is, I ordered a felpro gasket kit and have had a couple issues with it.
#1. The exhaust manifold gaskets do not match up with a couple of the stud/bolt holes
#2. The Head gaskets.. they are both exactly the same.. therefore the arrows that are supposed to be pointing towards the front of the engine.. but since both gaskets are the same they cannot unless I flip the gasket around.. which i do not think is acceptable because the "FRONT" stamp is no longer facing up.

Does anyone know of the proper engine code location on the block so I can confirm that this is a 98GTP motor?

BTW: The brackets .. ie oil filter adaptor... dogbone bracket all match up what is usually found on a 98GTP.

If anyone could help me out at all it would be great!
I can also provide pictures of the gasket problems if necessary.

I found raised letters on the block near the starter side.
