Just wondering what the pros and cons are between the two thermostats. I was told once that you got more power from using the 195, is this true? I got my best time running a 195, with a stock intake ,could there be some truth to this? This is in a modded 3.4

Unless you have a significantly reprogramed ECM/PCM it expects and is configured to run around the 195.

You might as well stick with the 195. That really is the temp the engine's expected to run at.
A fan switch that kicks on a little sooner, perhaps a 2 speed unit, would be a better idea if you're concerned with engine temps.
