I need a new cruise control / turn signal stalk - I have learend that Rodney Dickman is out of the good replacements.

Does anyone have experience with another source? (I would prefer OEM).
Wondering if any of the various units offered on Ebay are working out for anyone?

I bought one from ebay because they're hard to come by over here, just picked the cheapest one shipping worldwide. They are not exactly the same in design as the one in the Fiero but they hook right up. I believe the plastic on the stock stalk is a bit thinner at the base.

I bought one from E-Bay and it fit good and works good (this is the one for cruise), But something did not look right, so I pulled it back out and found the difference that it was one inch longer than the original. Other than that it is OK but I had rather have the shorter one.

Auto supply places in Phoenix (like Checker) have these stalks on a display rack and charge about $30 for them. Usually they only have the chrome finished ones in stock rather than black. You can order a black one for the same price. I bought one of these to fix my 84 SE's cruise control and was quite happy that it fixed the cruise problem and in the way it looked. Although the stalk I bought had the wiper delay function, it worked just fine on my car without delay.

If you want OEM (which I personally agree with you on) go to any GM dealer and buy one. They are still being sold, it fits almost wvery car GM made for about 10 years.

OEM ones can also be had from the Fiero store (FYI). They charge
$85 and no 10% discount on OEM parts either.
