Oil used to drip on the Alternator Belt and spit it on the decklid. After taking it to an engine rebuilding shop they replaced the valve cover gasket. Oil stopped leaking on decklid but still leaked on the ground below the belts. Took it back there and they replaced the valve cover gasket again thinking it was bad. Still leaks same amount under the car. Took it back again and they replaced the Hub? Dont know what that is. Still leaked after that. I took it back maybe 3 or 4 more times and they still did not fix it. Now the only they think it will stop is by rebuilding the engine or just replacing all the seals and gaskets. IS This Worth It? Any Ideas would be appreciated. Also they stopped charging me after the second vist!

Well you've got to figure out where the oil is coming from. I suggest cleaning off the area and running it for a short time to see where fresh oil appears.
For leak sources you've got the valve cover (which should be blatently obvious just by looking at it) the cam cover under the intake, the oil filter under the inside, the head gasket, the oil pan gasket, and the timing gear cover gasket. Any one of those could be leaking, though I doubt the head gasket/cam cover/valve cover.
As I said, a good cleaning of the area and then a short drive should make it obvious where your leak is coming from.

If this is a V6 .... maybe it's the distributor gasket. Has caused many a leak for owners, and an easy fix.

Hi ,Welcome to the Forum, as Jax184 said above a good steaming will help---or if the shop is doing this for free --why not try that oil dye in it, shoudn`t take to long after that to pin it down...Good Luck..

It could also be the front main seal. If it is, you should see oil covering the backside of the crankshaft pulley.
