The job is complete!....You have to jack up the car to get to the starter location. It was fairly straightforward and simple once i got to the cable...It is a PITA to get to...the oil filter is about 3 inches from the nut that holds the cable on...The catalytic converter is also in the way, as well as a heat shield...I worked around everything...I found that the nut on the starter cable was very loose...it only took a tiny bit of a turn to loosen it enough to unscrew it by hand the rest of the way...The cable is in a bracket near the battery to keep it from coming in contact with the pulleys and whatnot in the engine bay...I slid the cable through the bracket towards the ground so that finding the end of the cable would be much easier...Once i got the cable off, I found that there was a tab on the end that connects to the starter
Tab end of starter:

I was a bit worried that I would need a cable with the same tab on the end...I didnt find one like that at Autozone...But I did find a nice 2 gauge battery cable with pigtail to use:

I slid the battery terminal protector over the small end of the cable. I then fed the cable through the same bracket at the top of the engine bay to get the cable through the area properly. Once It was through, I reconnected the cable to the starter post using the old nut. After this it was pretty much straightforeward....I cut the old corroded wire away from the old pigtail that goes to the C500 connector:

Then stripped down to some bare wire, crimped into the new pigtail end to the battery, and reinstalled the battery terminals...

I reconnected the negative terminal..........
And she fired right up!...I guess the little tab wasnt important after all....Thanks for the help in locating the end of the cable...Maybe this little bitty write up will help someone change out their corroded positive wiring!
