I can't find the WA number (paint Code) on the car that I am working on. Can anyone take a look at their red Fiero and help me out? The sticker on this car is not readable.
Thanks

Mine is an 85 GT, the GM paint code is WA-8553. I was told the GM black was GM code 41 or PPG #9835.

Hey, I appreciate the help. Do you want to stop by and spray it for me?

Was the bright red the same for all years? Some say the 88 is brighter than other bright reds. Maybe it's just not faded as much as the earlier years?

Sorry, no exspirence in painting. All that I know is what I have been told and that is a great paint job is 95% to 98% perp. As far as the 88s being a brighter red, that might be true. I also remember reading that all the years except 88s had the same paint code for bright red. I recently ran across a tip that if you paint your car with a white sealer coat before the red, the red is much brighter yet.

There are two different reds. One is 84-85 and the other is 86-88. The latter had a bluish hue mixed in at least that's what the literature said.

Jim, just rattle can it with Duplicolor Chrysler Industrial Red and it'll match the plenum.
