even when the engine is up to temp. the motor takes forever to idle down from around 1750 it takes about 20 - 30 seconds to idle down to idle from 1750 RPM, I habe put a nice heave return spring on my throttle body because it seems to stick open a little every now and then so i know its not the cable, what could it be?

and my oil pressure guage likes to dance alot... im not sure what could cause that........ is it the sensor or the guage its self?

The dancing oil pressure gauge is caused by a bad sending unit. This is a very common problem.

Could be a leaky egr tube. Could be a sticky Idle Air Controller (IAC) or dirty IAC pintle and seat they can get carboned up. Could be your throttle body needs a good cleaning and lubrication. Could be that a cruddy, dry throttle cable is holding the butterfly on the throttle body open. Shouldn't need a heavy throttle spring, tho.

Gm Sells a rubber o-ring/gasket type thing/kit, that was used for correcting the oil sending units --as they collected mositure--I think the last one I got from dealership was less than a buck, might want to give that a try--for a buck and see if it helps the erratic tennis match your oil gauge is having---and Brian is right --you should not need a heavy spring back there on your t.b.---something is gummed up as he mentioned--give it a good cleaning out--and check for sticking or binding linkage. Hope this helps some....
