I just use my regular gun and throttle the air and fliud down until it sprays like a touch-up gun. The only place I use a touch-up is when I'm spraying very small areas or I have clearance issues with the regular gun.

I do need it because of clearance issues, I'm working in a one car garage and the doors won't fully open for one example.

i use my regular gun as well, you could always get one of the cheap harbor freight specials which may or may not spray very well. Or if they do spray good it is for a short amount of time. Ive used a few, me personally i like using Satas but they are expensive and not very practical for the home do it yourself paint to buy unless they have money to burn.
Harbor freight has a small (4.oz cup ) gravity gun on sale for $39.99.Tell 2-27-06 .Thay all so make a descent touch up gun, either will work.Sharpe makes the finex 4 oz. gravity gun for $ 89.99.There is a touch up gun at checker auto parts for $9.99 but that might be to cheap for your needs.Thier both HVLP guns. Hope that helps

Yup......then you probably need a smaller gun to handle the job. I do have a touch-up gun that I bought from Sears quite a few years ago, and it has always sprayed well. Even the cheap guns you can buy at Harbor Freight will spray decent for a while, so if you aren't going to use it much, you can go either way.....Sears or Harbor Freight. As long as it's adjustable, you should be able to set it up so you are comfortable with it.

I use my regular gravity feed as well, I use the suction feed for my primers.
I have a cheaper HVLP for primers. You still use less material with the HVLP at low pressure, and it actually works better with primer than with paint due to the weight of the primer. I have a lot less overspray because of the low pressure and a smoother finish for final sanding.
One reminder for everyone. Make sure you clean out your spray guns after you use your catalysed primer. It will solidify in the cup if you leave it sit too long and really make a mess to clean up. Not that I've done this..........*cough*
