Hey guys, just looking to add a few things to the ole Fiero and passing through some of the threads I have noticed some real nice molds and plugs. I want to get going on my car and really need to know what materials I need to get going. I have the fiberglass resins, and cloth. Right now I getting some 2003 firebird door panels ready with some dry wall DAP so that I can get the smooth fiberglass interior door panels. NOw from there what do I seal it with how many coats and what release agent on top of that???? Then use the fiber resin after that?? NEED help... I'll post some pictures as soon as I get back to the house.....

Are you trying to make a mold of a door panel? If you are, tape it up good, use the blue painter's tape, it works fantastic, and some tin foil. This way if you have any seepage it won't go thru the foil. What I do next is spray the area with PAM or any generic cooking spray. Then you can go to town with your mat/cloth/resin. Once the resin dries you can peel it right off.
