Hi. Can anyone tell me the size of the bolt that holds the bottom of the alternator bracket to the engine mount and block? Mine seems to not be there anymore which is odd. I don't think its ever had one since I got the car. Was gonna put Rodney's pulley on and relized it wasen't there. Top one was missing to but I figured that one at. Thank you.

On the 2.8-liter V6, the lowest alternator bracket bolt (which attaches the aluminum alternator bracket to the block) appears to be an M12x1.75 bolt, 74 to 75mm overall length (measured from underside of the head, to the end of the bolt). About 30mm threaded length. It's a hex-head bolt, takes an 18mm wrench.

It's installed with a 3.75mm-thick washer under the head.

Thank you StuGood. I gave you a + rating since I've been trying to figure this bolt size out for a week now. Its kinda tricky to do while still in the car. Still wondering how it fell out. Probably just from vibration. Thanks.

No problem. But there seems to now be more to it. I tryed to put the bolt in today and it wount go in all the way. Keep in mind that this bolt as far as I know has been missing for almost a year now. I think the engine might not be lined up correctly or the alternator bracket is bent, which I can't see happening. I'm gonna take the bracket off this weekend and see if the hole is there. I'll keep posting with what I find. Thanks.

Oops, my bad. rubyredfiero is correct, the pitch is 1.75, not 1.5 as I originally posted. Sorry about the error !
