Be cautious.
The MSD 6200A can go faulty and you can't test it. Mine showed up as a miss in the low rpms, that I could not locate. It got worse, it started bucking after it warmed up, and under 2500 rpm. It was real embarrassing.
MSD fans, including speed shop guys, and mechanics told me my miss could not possibly be the MSD... HAH!
After spending alot of cash on parts I didn't need, I unplugged it and the problem disappeared.
Bottom line, Pyrthian is right. The coil is good enough. I'd be looking at good wires and plugs with a high output coil. But if you don't care how much you end up spending, why not put on the MSD?
