Like Firefighter said, nope. The Fiero never had to much badging on it at all. The cars had a front emblem with either Fiero or Fiero GT. On Formulas in 88 they had a sticker that said Formula (duh! ) on the side of the door. The notchback's had Pontiac set in the rear bumper and Pontiac Emblems on the Quarter windows. On the right corner of the decklid most have a sticker that either said: 2m4, 2m6, or Indy. The Fastbacks had Pontiac on the Taillights with a "GT" badge on the rear right corner of the bumper and on the Quarter glass and thats it.

Wow...now thats throwing a monkey wrench into this. I looked through my Indy pictures and the Real Pace Cars had then but the other pace cars where like half and half. I remember people saying that the decals were shipped in the trunk and the dealer had the option to either put them on or leave them off, maybe this had something to do with it. For sure no other Fiero left the factory with any Pontiac/ Fiero sticker on the windshield of the car.

Yep, the Pace car and race cars had the decals, as do most others. Never a dealer option, though. You can get em on eBay, they're on there all the time.
Speaking of windshield decals, there was a guy at Westfest who had a really neat one that said, "Pontiac Motorsports". I talked with the guy (I recall his name was Tess? and he had a beautiful black notchie) and he said he bought them from a guy on Ebay. He cautioned that you must specify Fiero font up front or you may get something different!
Kitskaboodle, so thats was his name was, Tess. I remember his black notchie very well. It was one of my favorites, he had a very sweet sounding exhaust and those polished stainless steel dash panels were my favorite. Does anybody know where Tess got those dash panels in polished SS but they were sweet. I hope he is going on the coast run because i want to talk to him again.

Just some interesting facts: Pontiac sold the windshield banners thru their parts department. Some dealerships would install them as a "dealer installed item". They also had 2 styles the solid letters and the outlined letters.
For the real pace cars and the Huffakker race cars GM made a windshield with the "PONTIAC" inside the glass. Yes, it was sandwiched in bewteen the 2 layers of glass on the "safety" layer. It was intended for use on the race cars but some people bought them and installed them on their Fiero's. Not sure if you can still find them. They were GM part number: 20479012 and at the time GM listed the price as $342.00

Our 86 GT had the banner right from the dealership. The car was used to pace a few races at Pocono Speedway. Then sold at Abeloph Pontiac in Stroudsburg.

Obviously this is a true statement. I recall back in 1988 when I had a Trans Am the windshield banners were very popular. I managed to find out I could order them through the dealership and almost did. But the price kind of made me change my mind. In 2005 dollars that would be $554.94
By the way the part number listed above is not in GM Parts Direct.

Most of the special program parts will not show up on GM Parts Direct. I have all the GM part numbers for the SD4 and the Fiero race car parts and none of them are listed on GMPD. But if you go to a dealership they can look up historical parts (what's sitting in warehouses) and you can find lots of unlisted parts. There are many that are no longer available or not in stock, But some parts can be located. They also charge the original listing price, They don't convert it to "2005 dollars"

i was under the impression that the indys came with the PONTIAC windshields logo, fader stripe, fender emblems, rear indy decal already in place from the factory. the door decals came with the car but was a customer request to be put on. am i wrong?
