2. is the body made of fiberglass or plastic?

3. in 86 is it true that they had a manual rack and pinion not power stearing? Mine does not have power- is there a way to get that?

4. only one stage of the wipers work - hi how do i fix

5. cruise does not wrok at all how do i fix this or at least just rip it out

6. the dome lights do not work

7. the dash lights are very dim even if pumped all the way up (i mean at night when one can actually see them)

8. i have a full radio tape deck i want to take it out completly there was wires on the left but the last wire set on the right is not coming out do i use a special tool?

9 AC sorta works but i am not getting much for heat except in the engine bay( if you know what i mean )

cant answer all your questions, but:
the blue chime box under the dash on the passenger side (aka blue dingy thingy) detects key in ignition, door ajar, lights on and parking brake. you can just unplug the chime box
most of the body panels are plastic. i think the roof is fiberglas
all fieros came with manual steering, but i think there are a few (VERY few) power racks out there. some folks are working on conversions from other cars but i dont recall any completed.

OKAY, here we go
#1 might be the blue dingy thingy, under pass side of dash, just yank it out and throw it away
#2 the roof, hood, decklid, and spoilier are made of a hard fiberglass material, all other body pannels are plastic, the bumpers being a diffrent plastic, theres a fancy names for them, but dont think you care that much
#3 All Fiero's came without power steering, there are less than half a dozen (im thinking 3) full systems in existance, plus with decent sized tires you shouldnt need it.
#4 Its probably the wiper circut board, take off the cover of the wiper motor, its just one screw, and replace the little board inside of it, I believe you can buy just the board (called a pulse something or other) from advanced, or a JY would probably let you have one as long as you dont take the whole motor.
#5 Cruise has a handful of componets, non of which weigh much, really not worth your time removing, fixing is a long story
#6 Dome lights, check your fuses, there should be one in the bottom right of the pannel, 20A I think this one runs the dome lights, that or the room fuse, but if your radio keeps its memory, the room fuse is fine.
#7 There is a transistor on the metal dash frame to the right of the guage cluster, its silver and ribbed, you cant miss it but have to lay on the floor to see it.
#8 should be no special tools involved, just find the little retainer tab
#9 more than likely the thermostat is either removed or stuck open, does the temp guage go up when you drive? Its on the engine under the radiator cap by the battery. Take the cap off and you cant miss it, it just sits in there, no bolts or nething.
#10 Just get some KYBs from advanced, they're not that much, forget how much,

The roof, hood decklid, and rear clip are made of fiberglass, The spoiler is made of plastic (got one split in the middle here at the house, its just molded plastic)

also the high pitched noise that only happens when the car is on, is probably the fuel pump, stick your ear down on the center console, if its louder there, then its the fuel pump, which is normal for fiero's but if its real loud in the cabin, then thats not the problem.

Your forgetting the rear bumper, the rear clip, the door skins, the quarter panels, and the rockers.

but i thought the rear clip is fiber glass

ok well screw this here is my question-

if i made my sort of own rebody kit- for say the entire rear clip-(i have a notchie)

what parts will not be able to stick to the new fiber glass?

when " I " say rear clip this is what i mean- rear bumper and rear quarters- the window things- the side that got to the roof- the engine lid- (as in sorta the trunk too ) and all off that space betwwen that area so basically where the backl of the door line is that and back is what i would call the rear clip on these-

when you are saying rear clip what do YOU mean?

Basicallly i wan to make huge fender flairs for meats and vents like on the lambos for the engine (the vents would be were the little fake windows are.

Center Council? Oh you mean console! I thought this was in committee or something. Sounds like you need to go find a good mechanic. Trying to diagnose noises can be misleading to others without being there as we can only guess.
