I haven't been able to find an automatic 1988 Fiero. So I am going to convert my 5 speed GT to a 3800sc automatic.

I would like use a transmission cooler mounted in back rather than trying to find the cooler lines that go to the front and getting another radiator.

Has anyone had any success with just using a transmission cooler mounted in back?

Thanks

There is no airflow in the back, I'll swap you. I have a set of lines and an auto. Send me the tranny and call it even.

The radiator cooling system for the tranny serves a very important function in getting the fluid warmed up to operating temperatures more rapidly than friction inside the tranny can by itself. This really saves wear and tear in the tranny, especially during cold weather.
