If you have an alarm with a aux out for trunk s or other 12volt items you dont need a kit.. just the solinoids and with our doors the bigger the better. I have two diff setups in mine ones just a solinoid and it pulls down on the unlatcher (inside door pulls are retained) and the one that came with the car had its own relay (always use relays and fuses! oh and heavy guage wire) and was installed upside down with a pully of some sorts to take the load of pulling. I got my solinoids from summit for like 30$
Nice thing is you dont need the door popers as long as your windows are up, They will pop the door out for you. if they are down then you might have to give a lil pull to help it pop out. I broke my camera falling off a wild horse last wek but I'll try to use my GFs profesional camera to get some pics of my setup since my exterior skins are off. L8
PS if your only doing one door.. then an aftermarket trunk kit would work OHHH and also always have a fail safe.. cause its your only way into the car if your battery dies or they mess up due to weather or something. Ive been locked out many a time and was glad i had a secret screw to undo to open the doors that had a electric key on trigger..
