Well I have given up on fuel injection, and think I might go with something more my speed. I was wondering if anyone has put a carburator on a cadillac engine, I know Bubbajoexxx has, but his e-mail doesn't work. I am just trying to figure out and dirstibutor and carburator setup to put on a 4.1 engine. If anyone has does this, let me know so I can get some answers.

You probably won't get many responses as most people are not fond of the 4.1 engine or carbs on Caddy's.

However yes it should be able to be done, I know many 4.5 and 4.9 guys have done it and too my knowledge they are pretty much hte same setup as the 4.1.

I guess I would just keep doing research into threads on PFF about carbed 4.9's and on, rockcrawls, site, bubba joes site and any other you can come up with. I would look for 4.9 rather than 4.1 info and just adapt it.

I chose to stay with Fuel Injection. For me, tuning Fuel Injection is easier than Carb. But that is becuase I have only ever owned 2 cars in my life with a carb. Had fuel injected cars for hte last 15 years. And I grew up with Fuel Injection.

I like carb'd applications. No computer eh? And when you get the knack of a purely mechanical fuel delivery, it can do good things.

Look up Master Tuner Akimoto in the search engine. He is a banned member but had a pretty good carb'd Caddy engine.

I'm running a 500 holley 2bbl carb on my 4.9L, it works really well, i still have a bit of tuning left to do with it, it needs a bit smaller jets and less accelerator pump. It has worked fantastic for me this racing season with all of my autocross events. i also have a super powershot nitrous system on it.
