Hi, Last night I was reconnecting my Battery on a 86Gt I rebuilt several months ago,, and noticed that each time I took off or put on the positive battery cable, that blue chime box would make a single ring, (no key in ignition) I have been working on this thing with a idle issue for quite awhile, and have got quite used to all the noise`s it makes and this is a first .. My other Fieros don`t do this, I looked under the passide dash and the blue box chime thing was hanging loose, I put it in place and it made a even louder ring when reconnecting the battery. Any ideas what this is--or if its normal ??? Thanks........

The chime box (the Blue Dingy Thingy) is known to have bad solder joints in it, causing no end of unexpected noises. If you're handy with a soldering iron you can pop it open and resolder things. The most common area seems to be where the thermal disc intersects the main board. This might be all you need.
