I heard someone say that a Honda Prelude engine or the H22 was able to be installed into the Pontiac Fiero. Does anyone know anything on this? Have you heard anything? I'm very interested if someone has any information.

It can be installed.
All you will need is:
Custom wiring harness
Custom Mounts
Custom exhaust
Custom axles
Custom Shift cables
Lack of prior swap info
etc.......

The point is, most any engine can be made to fit(well not my Jag v-12), but you have to weigh the time, cost, rewards to going with more traditional swaps.
That said, don't let me or anyone else stop you building what you want.

I've never heard of anyone doing it, but it would be interesting to see done. Its going to require alot of custom parts and that equals alot of time and money. I'm not sure why you'd want to do it because I think the fiero weight is close to the preludes. It would make more sense to stick it in a civic or a crx that weigh less then the fiero.

H22s are GREAT engines, and I would love to have one in my 88. However, for what it would cost to do a custom install of this magnitude you could do a much nicer traditional swap.

Being a former honduh guru i do have some insight on H series honduh motors. The H22 is okay at best because it is only 150tq/200hp. You could put a fully built 350 in your 88 for way cheaper or a 3800 sc which is even better. I am just not a fan of "looky what I got" type mods. You might be the first but definetly not the fastest.
